Dare to Hope – January 28th – Generation Girls
What is Generation Girls?
Generation Girls is a one-day women’s conference for ‘girls’ from ages 12 to 100+ from all walks of life. It is a time to come receive encouragement from one another and be strengthened in faith for our Christian walk. Elements of this event will include worship, teaching, and connecting with each other and the Lord. VERY simply, Generation Girls is designed and planned to make room and time for a true God encounter. It’s come as you are, casual/comfortable dress with a casual/comfortable atmosphere. Everyone brings their own lunch – it’s wonderful!
-Dear Girls of all Generations-
I’m so proud of your passion and enthusiasm to step into new realms and places the Lord is presenting to you. This last Saturday, on 9/10/11 (great date), we had just such a ‘presentation’, as we gathered for our Generation Girls Conference in a room filled with ‘girls’ of all ages, sizes, and walks; a room that was filled with HIGH praise to a loving Father-God; a room that was filled with the message to YOU dear daughter, – you can DO this thing called life and do it beautifully!
We were challenged by Carol LeBeau and Janice Seney, to walk this walk – aware of where and what our emotions are, and to be in control of them through the Spirit. We explored the concept of how emotions need to be guarded and kept in check – simply put, they are the ‘teenager’ and the spirit part of us is the ‘adult’! While emotions need attention – they don’t get to be in charge!!!! Can you imagine if we capture this concept and really, really live it? We’d be able to walk through the storms, and still have perspective enough to hear and answer the Lord’s call for us in that moment – we’d have the capacity to handle it because we wouldn’t have ‘self’ in the way.
On a personal note, I want to let you know that I’m SO blessed to be able to live this life out loud and expose these truths together – there’s power in that! I am so compelled with what the Lord has called me to…. to build up the generations of women by gathering them to learn, grow, and worship! The Lord has shown me that this has impact beyond the walls of the room we are gathered in – it reaches into the walls of our homes, workplaces, schools, AND let’s not forget the impact in the unseen spiritual realm!!
Seek the Lord to know your potential in Him – experience the magnificence of heaven’s wonders e-v-e-r-y SINGLE day! Make Him known throughout your world by simply walking in-step and in-tune with the SPIRIT, the adult in the house!
Yup, this life’s GOOD and so is God!
