Water Baptism Information
We are excited that you are interested in baptism. We believe that baptism is an important step of obedience for every person who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Baptism is your opportunity to publicly testify that you have chosen to follow Jesus; that you accept His free gift of forgiveness for your sins and desire to live your life in relationship with Him.
Baptism is very symbolic of the work God has already done in your life. It is important that you understand that baptism doesn’t make you a believer – it shows that you already believe. Baptism does not “save” you, only your faith in Jesus Christ does that. Baptism is like a wedding ring – it’s the outward symbol of the commitment you make in your heart.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith…it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9
Here at Vista Assembly, the procedure for getting baptized is to:

Click on the link that shows the Scriptures that pertain to baptism.
- Complete the baptism registration.
Once we receive your registration form, we will contact you to schedule your videotaping and baptism.
- Read about making your video.
We want you to be as comfortable and prepared as possible.
- Attend a meeting and film your testimony.
After we receive your registration form, we’ll contact you to schedule you for an informational meeting where you’ll also have your testimony videotaped.
- Get baptized!
Baptisms take place during one of the Sunday morning services and includes a showing of your prerecorded video. Invite your family and friends to attend.
If you would like to have a family member or friend baptize you, please let us know who it is and plan on having them attend the informational meeting with you. |
