We value God’s presence in our services! One word from God, one touch from Him can change your life forever. Our worship is passionate and the preaching of God’s Word is focused on teaching you how to live in God’s love. We believe that nothing is too great for God. Our services are completely Spirit led and an exciting journey of seeing that the Father has for us each and every week.
We are a family on a love journey. Together. Loving God passionately – the motive for all we do. Encountering the love of God that makes us whole. Becoming love to others. His love alive in our hearts is the very source and root of life.
As we encounter the extravagant (reckless) love of God and align with our true (restored) identity as His children, we are becoming more and more like Jesus - world changers, who call out the greatness in each other, move in divine might and explosive power, and carry the presence of the Lord into every realm of influence.
“Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!” Ephesians 3:18-19 TPT
We are committed to living life authentically – meaning our actions and words are congruent with our values. We have 4 core values that define the Vista Assembly culture:
We value hosting His presence. We actively exalt His presence over performance. In His presence lives are transformed, breakthroughs happen. Spending time in His presence empowers us to live victorious no matter the circumstances of life. We are carriers of His presence — and when His presence is the prevailing atmosphere, a hunger for God will result. We desire to know our God in such an intimate way that we call Him Abba. We increase intimacy by simply spending time with Him — listening as He speaks to us when we read the Word, pray, and worship Him.
We value people. We can’t do life alone. We cultivate the Christian life by deliberately connecting with one another. As you get to know us, you will encounter a group of diverse, multi-cultural, multi-generational people who are committed to all people, youngest to oldest, just as they are. Every person matters. We are committed to leading people into healthy relationships with Jesus and each other. We value a culture of honor that promotes each other’s welfare and provides a safe place to build trusting relationship.
We value a teachable heart. Following Jesus is a commitment for life - a life filled with incredible amounts of joy and peace. As followers of Jesus Christ, it is our responsibility to grow and mature in Christ. Growing to Christian maturity takes a lifetime of submitting to God and His Word, and His process in our lives. We are committed to creating an environment where we learn to walk out what Jesus paid a price for so that we may experience the fullness of who we were created to be, to the glory of our Creator. We value prayer, Bible study, small groups, and active service to God and to others as avenues for growth.
We value Kingdom-driven living. Fueled by the enabling power of the Holy Spirit, we choose to live on Earth as citizens of Heaven, to see the Kingdom multiplied among us.
We are naturally supernatural. Making Earth look like Heaven means demonstrating God’s power in everyday life. Nothing is impossible! Signs and wonders, prophetic declarations and words of knowledge—all confirm His goodness and extravagant love towards us.
We are generous givers. We can give without loving but we can’t love without giving. Out of a heart of gratitude for God’s grace and loving kindness toward us, we look for opportunities to bless those we encounter.
We serve our community with our resources, gifts and talents. We seize opportunities to impact the region by displaying God’s love in tangible ways.
We have compassion for a lost world – where Christ is shared, life is found. We refuse to play it safe when it comes to reaching people with the Gospel.
